Another way I find super helpful to capture thoughts from the day is my 5 Evening Thoughts journal prompt. It isn't much of a prompt really... I just write down 5 thoughts I observed that day. I don't always have fully formed thoughts to jot down throughout the day, but stopping each evening to just reflect on interesting insights or concepts I encountered during the day helps keep my mind fresh.
I really like the idea of watching out for interesting moments during the day. I think I would really struggle to remember, if I didn’t instantly record this down with interstitial journalling.
But this kind of reminds me of doing the five minute gratitude exercise once in the morning, and once at night that had been a really good routine for me, and I may actually go back. Thanks for sharing.
